South Carolina Chapter of Afro-American Historical and Genealogical Society
South Carolina has received its first chapter of the Afro-American Historical and Genealogical Society. Receiving their charter on September 22, 2024, the chapter’s mission is to assist anyone interested in pursuing family history research for and about peoples of African ancestry in the Lowcountry and Gullah Geechee region of South Carolina.
