Statewide Preservation Awards
On June 18, 2025, sixteen honorees were chosen and received state recognition for their hard work in preserving SC history at the Preservation Awards.
Honorees included Preservation Society of Charleston for their work on the “Mapping Charleston’s Black Burial Grounds” project, the Culture & Heritage Museums of York County for preserving the “Enslaved Ancestral Burial Ground at Historic Brattonsville“, and the Honorable Bernice G. Scott for her significant achievements as an elected official to support historic preservation in SC.
